Air Advice Testing made Easy With Vogel Heating and Cooling
How do I run a test and receive a report?
Simply plug in the monitor. It will automatically begin collecting data. Once data collection is complete, the monitor will upload the information to our servers using its internal cellular modem. The IAQ report is sent directly to your consultant, not the homeowner. Leave the monitor plugged in until the screen displays “Check Your Email.”
This indicates the data has been successfully uploaded and the consultant has received the report. At that point, the monitor may be unplugged and returned to its case. For three-day tests, the monitor may display “Check Your Email” before testing is complete. The final report is sent to the consultant after
the full three-day period.
For three-day tests, results will be sent directly to your consultant.
What does the test measure?
Temperature, Humidity, Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Particulates, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and Carbon Monoxide (CO)
How long should I leave the monitor plugged in?
Leave it plugged in for the full three days to complete the test. Keeping it plugged in longer is fine, but only one report is generated.
Can I see the reports on the website?
No. Reports are not available for homeowner access online. All reports are delivered directly to your consultant
If I leave the monitor connected, will it keep sending reports?
No. The monitor will continue collecting data and uploading it periodically, but additional reports are not automatically sent. The collected data can be used by your consultant to generate a long-term SmartIAQ report if needed.
What is the Refundable Deposit Charged at Checkout?
A $50 deposit is charged at checkout which will be refunded back to your card after you return the device to our offices either by dropping it off in person or by mail via the prepaid shipping label in your box.
*If the device is returned damaged or not functioning beyond the cost of the $50 deposit, you may be invoiced for the full cost of the test kit.*($1000)
Where should I place the monitor?
Place it in a main living area, away from direct airflow, windows, or kitchens. About waist to chest height is ideal.
How large of an area can the monitor test?
The monitor can test homes up to 2,500 square feet. For larger homes,
testing multiple zones is recommended.
Does the monitor measure cat odors?
No. The monitor measures a broad range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which may or may not have an odor. Cat odors are caused by urea, which is not a VOC.
Does the monitor test for mold?
No. However, the monitor measures conditions that may contribute to mold growth. High humidity combined with elevated particle levels may indicate a potential mold concern.
If mold is suspected, further evaluation such as a visual inspection or mold testing is recommended.
My monitor says “No Signal Found.” What should I do?
The monitor is in an area with poor cellular service. Leave it plugged in so it can continue collecting and storing data.
Once powered in a location with stronger cellular service, the data will upload automatically and the consultant will receive the report.
I didn’t get a report. What went wrong?
If the monitor displays “New Report Ready,” it was unable to connect to cellular service. The data is stored and will be sent once the monitor connects in an area with adequate signal.
If needed, your consultant can verify report status.
Should I test with the air handler on or off?
Test the home under normal living conditions. Either setting is acceptable, and no HVAC system adjustments are required.
